The two language factors together cap at 160, which is IRCC's published official-languages maximum. Note what the first-language factor is: 136 points for the language you nominate as first, against 24 for the second. The nomination is a candidate's choice, not a fact about which language is stronger.
B. Spouse factors (max 40)
Your spouse's education, first official language and Canadian work experience — but the core section shrinks from 500 to 460 to pay for it. A spouse is not free points.
C. Skill transferability (max 100)
Combinations, not stand-alone facts: education with language, education with Canadian experience, foreign experience with language, foreign experience with Canadian experience, and a trade certificate with language. Each group caps at 50 before the 100 ceiling applies. This section is why one weak ability hurts twice — the tiers key off your lowest ability, not your average.
