AustraliaHow to Choose a PTE Institute in Ahmedabad: 9 Checks Before You Pay
Keyur Rohit
Lead Verbal Faculty for Digital SAT / IELTS / Spoken English / PTE, EEC
Keyur Rohit is EEC's lead verbal-skills faculty across Digital SAT (Reading & Writing module), IELTS (Reading + Writing + Speaking), Spoken English (Fluency tier coaching), and PTE Academic (Reading + Speaking modules). His remit covers band-builder methodology for IELTS 7.0+ (the band-pushed threshold for top universities and Skilled-Worker visas), the College Board's Digital SAT verbal adaptive sections, PTE 79+ Superior-band score targeting (especially for Australia PR PTE-Core CLB 9+), and Spoken English fluency progression for working professionals. He runs both classroom and online-live coaching across EEC's network. As Cambridge English IELTS Pre-Testing Centre (#5319) and IDP IELTS Education Partner, EEC's verbal faculty operates within Cambridge / IDP testing standards.
This is a buyer's guide for anyone comparing institutes before paying for PTE preparation. If you only want EEC's batch timings, fees and centre addresses, they are on our PTE coaching in Ahmedabad page. Everyone else: below are 9 checks to run on any institute, EEC included, before you pay. Ahmedabad is the largest PTE coaching market in Gujarat — with the highest student volume for Australia immigration — so there is plenty of choice, and these checks are what separate one option from another.
Why Ahmedabad Is Gujarat's PTE Hub
Ahmedabad's large IT professional base, engineering graduates from Gujarat Technological University and L.D. Engineering, and established Gujarati community in Australia make it the epicentre of PTE demand in the state. EEC's 8-centre coverage ensures that whether you are in Memnagar, Chandkheda, Maninagar, or Naroda, a PTE coaching centre is within 15-20 minutes of your home.
9 Checks Before You Pay a PTE Institute
Ask every institute on your shortlist the same nine questions. Where it helps, we note how EEC answers each one, so you have a benchmark to compare against.
1. Does the course cover all 20 PTE item types?
Ask to see the syllabus. A course that skips item types leaves you to prepare those on your own. At EEC, every mode includes all 20 item types, templates and a Write from Dictation (WFD) sentence bank.
2. Are mock tests included in the fee?
Ask how many mock tests are included and what feedback you get after each one. At EEC, mock tests are part of every coaching mode.
3. Is the fee all-inclusive?
Ask what the fee covers and whether materials, mock tests or counselling cost extra. EEC's ₹9,990 covers coaching, templates, the WFD sentence bank, mock tests and FREE study abroad counselling, with no separate consultancy fees.
4. Which study mode suits you?
Decide between a classroom, live online classes or self-paced recordings before you compare prices, and check that the institute offers the mode you need. EEC offers all three at the same fee.
5. Do the batch timings fit your day?
If you work or attend college, confirm a batch runs at a time you can actually attend. EEC runs morning, afternoon and evening batches, with weekend batches at Memnagar and Ghatlodiya.
6. Can you attend a free demo class first?
A demo shows you the teaching style before you commit. EEC offers a free demo class at every Ahmedabad centre, with no appointment needed.
7. What happens if you move across the city?
Ask whether your enrolment is tied to one branch. At EEC, enrolment is valid across all Ahmedabad centres, so you can attend any branch and switch freely.
8. Is counselling for your destination included?
If PTE is a step towards Australia PR or a student visa, ask whether the institute can help with the rest of the process. What EEC includes is set out in the counselling section below.
9. Is the institute making claims it cannot back?
