Graduates of state-approved Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs (as of 2026) are automatically granted a 3-Year Job Seeking Permit. Previously it was shorter, but this is a major update for 2026.

Yes. If you are enrolled in a state-approved program, your spouse can join you. They get FULL work rights (37 hours/week). You must show additional funds of 89,112 DKK for the spouse.

Unlike other countries with 20 hrs/week, Denmark allows '90 Hours Per Month'. This is flexible. You can work more in one week and less in another, as long as the monthly total is under 90.

Standard track is 8 years. However, the 'Fast-Track' PR allows you to get Permanent Residency in just 4 YEARS if you pass Danish Language Test 3, have a high income (311k DKK+), and pass the Active Citizen Exam.

Not exactly. You need to show 'Liquid Funds' (Bank Statement) of 89,112 DKK in your own name. Denmark is strict about 'Self-Sponsorship'. Funds in parents' accounts are often questioned unless transferred to you.
