The Hazira industrial belt, home to large operations of Reliance, L&T, and ONGC, adds another layer of corporate and technical roles where clear English matters. Alongside this, Surat has grown into a genuine tier-2 IT, ITeS, and BPO hub, where customer-support, sales, and client-servicing teams interact directly with global clients and are screened, first of all, on how well they can hold a conversation in English.
