2026 Rules for Inside-Canada Students

• PAL Exemption: If you are applying to extend your study permit, you DO NOT need a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL).
• Cost of Living Increase: For 2026, the cost-of-living financial requirement is $22,895 per year (plus tuition) for a single applicant.
• Biometrics: If you gave biometrics in the last 10 years, they are likely still valid. If older, you must renew them.
