Dubai-based universities are licensed by KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority); federal and other-emirate universities (Khalifa, UAEU, Zayed, AUS, MBZUAI, NYU Abu Dhabi, Sorbonne Abu Dhabi) are accredited by MOHESR via the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). Both routes are recognised in India. Branch-campus degrees (BITS Pilani Dubai, Manipal Dubai, Birmingham Dubai) are awarded by the parent institution and carry the same global recognition. For Indian government jobs, attestation from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is typically required.
