Italian A1 is suitable for students, travellers, professionals and anyone interested in Italian language and culture. It builds the everyday communication foundation required before progressing to A2 and more advanced levels. This course should not promise CELI, CILS or PLIDA examination preparation unless that service is genuinely introduced later.
A1 is not a formality. It is the level at which Italy stops being a place you need translated for you.
Italian public universities charge low tuition and most Bachelor's programmes are taught in Italian. A1 is where the ladder to the B1/B2 level those courses ask for begins, and it is what makes your Universitaly pre-enrolment and consulate interview go smoothly.
Declaration of Value, codice fiscale, permesso di soggiorno, questura appointments — the Italian student-visa trail is paperwork in Italian. A1 turns those forms from guesswork into something you can read.
Italian is the language of design, fashion, food, automotive engineering and art restoration. For hospitality, luxury retail and cruise-line roles it is a hiring filter, not a nice-to-have.
A1 is the entry level tested by CELI (Università per Stranieri di Perugia), CILS (Siena) and PLIDA (Società Dante Alighieri) — the three Italian-language exams recognised by universities and the consulate. EEC's A1 classes follow the same CEFR syllabus and exam format.

No. The Italian A1 course is 100% live Zoom teaching — there is no digital study material, no software, no LMS, no recordings, and no bundled practice-test product. EEC does not administer or award the CELI, CILS or PLIDA certificate; classes are taught to the CEFR A1 syllabus in the format those exams use, but registering for and sitting an official exam is a separate step you take with the exam body.
Italian A1 runs one live batch: 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST, Mon-Fri, on Zoom. That is one hour of live class every weekday with a real EEC teacher, live and never recorded, so you can ask questions and speak during the session.
Italian A1 is the beginner level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). At A1 you can introduce yourself, handle everyday exchanges — shopping, directions, ordering food — and read simple forms and notices. The course is built for complete beginners with zero prior Italian: students planning to study in Italy, professionals in hospitality, fashion, design or cruise lines, and anyone starting the language from scratch.
EEC's Italian A1 course is 40 live hours of daily one-hour classes, Monday to Friday. Because fees are billed ₹7,500/month, that is normally a couple of monthly payments. The syllabus covers pronunciation, present tense, common irregular verbs, prepositions, passato prossimo, and a final review of the full A1 syllabus.
A certified Italian teacher, with B1–C2 proficiency depending on the batch, teaches every class live on Zoom. Classes are never recorded and never handed off to a self-paced module — the teacher is present in every session.

There is no callback queue and no counsellor gate, and the link opens about four minutes before the class starts. EEC teaches to the CEFR A1 descriptors and to the format used by the three recognised Italian certifications: CELI (Università per Stranieri di Perugia), CILS (Università per Stranieri di Siena) and PLIDA (Società Dante Alighieri). All three are accepted by Italian universities and by the Italian consulate. EEC does not itself administer or guarantee any of these certifications — this course is not a dedicated exam-prep or certification package, it is the A1 syllabus taught properly. Your teacher can point you to the exam that matches your intake and test-centre availability, but registration and sitting the exam is done directly with that exam body.
It depends on the programme. Bachelor's degrees at Italian public universities are largely taught in Italian and typically ask for B1 or B2. Many Master's programmes are in English, but the visa and residence-permit trail — Universitaly pre-enrolment, Declaration of Value, codice fiscale, permesso di soggiorno, questura appointments — is conducted in Italian. A1 is the starting level and makes both the paperwork and the consulate interview considerably easier.

Yes — the course assumes zero prior Italian. Week one starts with the alphabet, the sounds Indian learners find hardest (gl, gn, sc, double consonants), and greetings. Batches are kept small so every student speaks in every class, which is where beginners actually make progress.
