Best OET in Surat 2026 — EEC Surat — 5 Centers at Vesu, Ghod Dod Road, Katargam, Mota Varachha, Parvat Patia | 4.7/5 Google (13,937+ Reviews) | Since 1997

The Occupational English Test (OET) exam fee in India is ~₹38,000–40,000. The test is conducted by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment. Results arrive in 16 business days and scores stay valid for 2 years. Out of EEC Surat, the fee is most commonly paid by families on the Canada PR corridor — exam fee is collected directly by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment; EEC handles only the registration paperwork, slot selection and pre-test counselling at no extra charge.

OET has 4 sections — Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking — with a total duration of 3 hours 10 minutes and a A (highest) to E (lowest) scale. The EEC Surat batches structure section drills around the dominant Surat cohort (textile-trade owners and diamond-industry families fund overseas study via SME-secured loans, and the catchment skews heavily toward Canada PR and Australia skilled-migration); the speaking / writing weightage in particular is calibrated to a UK GMC/PLAB (Doctors)-bound band of Grade B (350+ each sub-test), since that is the majority outbound corridor here.

Typical OET requirements: UK GMC/PLAB (Doctors): Grade B (350+ each sub-test), UK NMC (Nursing): Grade B (350+ each sub-test), Australia AHPRA (16+ professions): Grade B (350+ each sub-test), Alternative to IELTS 7.0/7.5: OET Grade B = IELTS 7.0. The realistic Surat target depends on the corridor — most Surat OET aspirants target UK GMC/PLAB (Doctors) (Grade B (350+ each sub-test)) — typical of a city where textile-trade owners and diamond-industry families fund overseas study via SME-secured loans, and the catchment skews heavily toward Canada PR and Australia skilled-migration. EEC Surat counsellors run a free profile review for students from Adajan, Vesu, Citylight and the wider Surat district to fix the right target band, then build a per-section study plan around it. Aiming a half-band higher than the minimum is the standard EEC advice for UK GMC/PLAB (Doctors)-bound files.

OET scores stay valid for 2 years from the test date, with results in 16 business days. For Surat students this matters because the Canada PR application cycle has fixed intake windows — book the test at least 4–5 months before the application deadline to avoid expiry mid-process. EEC Surat counsellors map the test date to your target intake (most Surat files target the September / January intake) so the result does not lapse during the visa-lodge stage.

EEC runs OET coaching in Surat — 29+ years, 5 branches, 4.7/5 on Google, and 50,000+ students trained since 1997. The Surat centres draw most walk-ins from a cohort where textile-trade owners and diamond-industry families fund overseas study via SME-secured loans, and the catchment skews heavily toward Canada PR and Australia skilled-migration, which is why the faculty here specialise in UK GMC/PLAB (Doctors)-band score patterns rather than generic prep. Students from Piplod, Dumas, Althan attend Surat batches alongside city residents.

OET coaching at EEC Surat starts at ₹9,990, and the same fee covers live-online and classroom — inclusive of study material, 100+ full-length mocks with unlimited retakes, AI practice tools and expert guidance. Coaching fee is separate from the OET exam fee (~₹38,000–40,000, paid directly to Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment). Education-loan tie-ups for Surat families are routed through diamond cutting-sector co-applicants in the majority of cases.

Yes — students from Vesu, Citylight, Piplod, Dumas routinely commute to EEC Surat for OET batches. Most prefer the morning slot (before the city-bound traffic) and travel back the same day; a sizeable share also picks live-online classes to skip the commute entirely. Counsellors here are familiar with the Canada PR, Australia skilled migration and Belgium (diamond-trade family link) corridor that this cohort most often plans, so the speaking-test practice is tuned to the destination accent and idiom (not generic IELTS prep).

OET Speaking = patient roleplay (5min) vs IELTS general discussion. Writing = referral/discharge letter vs essay. Better for those with clinical vocabulary. 12 healthcare professions covered. ~15 test centers in India For Surat students specifically — where textile-trade owners and diamond-industry families fund overseas study via SME-secured loans, and the catchment skews heavily toward Canada PR and Australia skilled-migration — the single biggest score lift comes from speaking-test fluency under a UK GMC/PLAB (Doctors)-style examiner, because most local first-attempt scores stall at Grade B (350+ each sub-test) on speaking. EEC Surat's 5 branches run small-batch speaking drills with native-pattern feedback plus computer-lab access for CD-OET simulation. Book a free demo class to lock in the next batch.
