Italy is one of the most affordable English-friendly EU destinations in 2026 for Indian students. Public universities charge as little as €900–€4,000 per year, the DSU regional scholarship fully waives tuition and adds €1,500–€7,000/year stipend for income-eligible students, 600+ English-medium programmes are available across engineering, design, fashion, economics and humanities, the Schengen visa unlocks 27 EU countries, and the post-study residence permit gives master's and PhD graduates 12 months (extendable to 24) to find work in Italy.
Why Study in Italy 2026

Italy hosts 3,500+ Indian students in 2026 and is growing fast as a Germany alternative for budget-conscious families.
