A1 is the survival level. It helps you get part-time jobs (delivery, cafe) and visa points. For professional jobs, you need B1/B2.
No official certificate is included in the course fee — EEC teaches to the CEFR A1 syllabus and the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start Deutsch 1) exam format, so you're ready to sit the official Goethe Institut exam separately when you choose to.

The Goethe Institut Start Deutsch A1 (or Goethe Zertifikat A1) is the gold-standard A1 certification — internationally recognised, has no expiry, and accepted by all German embassies worldwide for visa purposes. EEC trains you to the Goethe A1 exam syllabus specifically, including the official test format and timing.
The full German A1 syllabus is 40 live hours (20 live hours a month), taught live on Zoom Monday to Saturday by a certified German teacher (B1–C2 proficiency depending on the batch). The CEFR A1 level covers introductions, daily routines, simple questions, basic written communication, and short conversations on familiar topics, with speaking practice from day one — no previous German knowledge is required.
