Head of GRE / Digital SAT / GMAT, EEC
Nisarg Shah heads EEC's quantitative test-prep division covering GRE General, GMAT Focus Edition, and Digital SAT — the three test brands where Math/Quant performance is the decisive factor. He owns curriculum design, the GRE 320+ and GMAT 705+ score-target methodology, the Digital SAT 1400+ track, and faculty assignments for Math/Quant sessions across all 26 EEC branches and online live classrooms. He is the senior reviewer on EEC's published GRE / GMAT / D-SAT content and the technical authority on the 2024 GMAT Focus Edition transition and the College Board's Digital SAT adaptive-section testing format. Nisarg works alongside Seema Deshmukh on cross-format coordination (verbal scoring spans both his and the English faculty's coverage).

The GMAT Focus Edition is the current version of the GMAT exam, launched by GMAC in November 2023 to replace the classic GMAT (full transition complete Feb 2024). It is a 2-hour 15-minute computer-adaptive test scored 205–805 with three sections — Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. The fee in India for 2026 is $324.50 (~₹27,100) at a test centre and $354 (~₹29,570) online — both equal the global base ($275 / $300) plus 18% GST processed at checkout. Scores are accepted by 90%+ of global MBA programmes including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, INSEAD, HEC Paris, ISB Hyderabad and IIM-A PGPX. This guide covers format, fee, scoring, preparation strategy and 26 EEC GMAT centres across Gujarat.
What is GMAT Focus Edition 2026
GMAT Focus Edition is shorter than the classic GMAT (2hr 15 min vs 3hr 7 min), drops the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), and introduces a new Data Insights section testing real-world business analytics. The scoring scale changes from 200–800 (classic) to 205–805 (Focus). A 645 on Focus is roughly equivalent to 700 on classic GMAT.
