No. Immigration New Zealand does not list LanguageCert among the tests it accepts, for skilled residence visas or for the Accredited Employer Work Visa. Those lists cover IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, B2 First, OET (health roles). If your goal is New Zealand residence or a work visa, you need one of those tests instead — we would rather tell you that now than sell you the wrong course.

Getting into an New Zealand education provider. NZQA recognises LANGUAGECERT Academic and International ESOL for admitting international students, at every programme level from certificates through to doctorates. If you are applying to a university, polytechnic or private training establishment in Napier or anywhere else in New Zealand, it is a legitimate and often cheaper option.

For a bachelor's degree (NZQF level 6 / 7), NZQA sets LANGUAGECERT Academic at 65 overall with no skill below 60. For postgraduate study (Level 8 – 10), it is 70 overall with no skill below 65.
