Immigration New Zealand does not list LanguageCert among the tests it accepts, for either skilled residence or the Accredited Employer Work Visa. Those lists cover IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, B2 First and OET for health roles. If your goal is New Zealand residence or a work visa, one of those is the test you need — not this one.
What New Zealand does recognise LanguageCert for is enrolling as an international student. NZQA lists it for admission at every programme level, which makes it a legitimate choice if you are applying to an NZ university, polytechnic or private training establishment.
For a New Zealand bachelor's degree, NZQA sets LANGUAGECERT Academic at 65 overall with no skill below 60. It must be sat at an approved test centre. Those are floors — a specific programme can ask for more, and then the higher requirement wins. The full NZQA table covers every level from certificates to doctorates; pick your city below to see it laid out.
