Question 1

How can students from Saurashtra University prepare for the TOEFL iBT without leaving Rajkot?

Accepted Answer

Students enrolled at Saurashtra University or residing in Rajkot can fully prepare for the TOEFL iBT through Enbee Education Center's online coaching platform, eliminating the need to commute or relocate. EEC offers a comprehensive online TOEFL programme tailored for students in the Saurashtra region. The coaching fee is ₹9,990 (including 18% GST), which covers daily live classes held from 4 to 5 PM IST, Monday through Saturday. Additionally, students receive 10 printed study books delivered free of charge directly to their homes in Rajkot or nearby towns like Gondal and Morbi. The curriculum includes 386 hours of video lessons and full-length mock tests that simulate the actual ~2-hour computer-based TOEFL exam. To ensure comprehension, EEC provides bilingual support in Hindi and Gujarati. Prospective students can experience the teaching style by booking a free demo session, available daily between 9 AM and 9 PM.

Question 2

What is the difference between the ETS TOEFL exam fee and the EEC coaching fee in Rajkot?

Accepted Answer

It is important for study-abroad aspirants in Rajkot to distinguish between the official exam fee charged by ETS and the preparation fee charged by coaching institutes. You will pay the official ETS TOEFL iBT registration fee (around US$200 — check ets.org for the current amount), which is separate from EEC's ₹9,990 coaching fee (source: ets.org). This fee is paid directly to ETS to book your test date and covers the administration of the ~2-hour computer-based exam and the sending of your scores to up to four universities. In contrast, the EEC TOEFL coaching fee is ₹9,990 (including 18% GST). This payment is exclusively for your test preparation, which includes daily live online classes, 386 hours of video lessons, and 10 printed books delivered across India. The EEC fee does not cover the ETS exam registration.

Question 3

Do universities like Marwadi University and RK University accept TOEFL scores for their international exchange programs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, English proficiency is a standard requirement for international mobility. Both Marwadi University and RK University in Rajkot have dedicated international desks—such as RK University's Office of International Affairs and Marwadi University's international exchange programs—that assist students in pursuing global opportunities. When students from these Rajkot institutions apply for exchange semesters or postgraduate studies at partner universities in the USA, Canada, or Germany, they must meet the host university's English requirements. The TOEFL iBT is universally recognized by over 13,000 institutions worldwide and is a premier choice for proving academic English skills. The exam is scored on a 1–6 band scale, with competitive global universities typically requiring bands between 4.5 and 5.0. Students aiming for these programs can utilize EEC's online coaching, which includes strategies for the "Writing for an Academic Discussion" task, to meet these rigorous international admission standards.

Question 4

Can students from nearby towns like Morbi and Junagadh join EEC's TOEFL classes?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Because Enbee Education Center delivers its TOEFL iBT coaching entirely online for the Rajkot region, students from surrounding towns such as Morbi, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Gondal, and Jetpur can easily participate without the need to travel. EEC does not operate a physical branch in Rajkot; instead, it provides high-quality live online classes daily from 4 to 5 PM IST. This digital delivery model ensures that all students in the Saurashtra region have access to the same expert instruction as those in major metropolitan areas. The ₹9,990 coaching fee includes the free delivery of 10 printed preparation books to any address in India, ensuring that students in smaller towns have the necessary physical study materials. Furthermore, the online platform includes 386 hours of video lessons and full-length mock tests, providing a complete, location-independent preparation experience for the computer-based TOEFL exam.

Question 5

Why is the TOEFL iBT highly recommended for Rajkot students aiming for the USA or Canada?

Accepted Answer

The TOEFL iBT is exceptionally well-regarded by academic institutions in North America, making it an ideal choice for Rajkot students targeting these countries. For students graduating from local institutions like Saurashtra University and aiming for Master's or Ph.D. programs in the United States, the TOEFL is often the most preferred English proficiency test. It is accepted by US universities for admission. Furthermore, for students looking to study in Canada, the TOEFL iBT is accepted by universities for admission. The exam accurately measures academic English through four sections—Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing—each scored on a 1–6 band scale. EEC, an ETS-authorised TOEFL iBT consultant since 2023, helps Rajkot students master this specific format. The coaching includes targeted practice for complex sections, ensuring students are well-prepared to achieve the Band 4.0+ or Band 4.5+ scores typically required by North American universities.

Question 6

How does the ETS MyBest Scores feature benefit TOEFL test-takers in Rajkot?

Accepted Answer

The MyBest Scores feature is an official ETS policy that significantly benefits students in Rajkot who may need multiple attempts to reach their target university's English requirements. MyBest Scores acts as a superscore, automatically combining a student's highest section scores (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing) from all valid TOEFL iBT test dates within the last two years. For example, if a student from RK University excels in Reading and Listening on their first attempt but improves their Speaking and Writing on a second attempt, ETS will compile the best scores from both into a single, higher overall band on the 1–6 scale. EEC's online coaching programme specifically incorporates strategies to help students maximize this feature. By analyzing performance in full-length mock tests, EEC instructors guide students on which specific sections to focus on during retakes, optimizing their overall MyBest Score for competitive university admissions.

Question 7

What is the TOEFL iBT and who is it for?

Accepted Answer

The TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language, internet-based test) is an English-proficiency exam run by ETS. It measures how well you can use academic English in a university setting, so it is built for students planning to study abroad — especially in the USA, where it is the most widely preferred test. The exam is fully computer-based and runs for roughly two hours. It tests four skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing, each scored on a 1–6 band scale, with an overall band from 1.0 to 6.0 (the average of the four section bands). TOEFL uses American English throughout, which suits applicants targeting North American universities. EEC coaches the TOEFL iBT for school leavers, graduates, and working professionals who need a recognised English score for admission, scholarships, or visa documentation. A free demo helps you judge your starting level before you enrol.

Question 8

How is the TOEFL iBT scored?

Accepted Answer

The TOEFL iBT gives you an overall band from 1.0 to 6.0. That overall band is the average of four section scores — Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing — each section scored on a 1–6 band scale. Each section and the overall score are reported as a 1–6 band (no pass or fail); universities set their own minimum requirements. As a rough guide, many universities accept around Band 4.0 and above, more competitive programmes look for Band 4.5 to 5.0, and top-tier universities often want Band 5.0 or higher. Reading and Listening are largely auto-scored, while Speaking and Writing are rated by certified ETS scorers and AI together. Your official score report lists every section score plus the total, so admissions officers can see exactly where you are strong. At EEC, our ETS-aligned faculty work on all four sections so your total reflects your true ability rather than one weak area.

Question 9

What are MyBest Scores and how do they help me?

Accepted Answer

MyBest Scores is the official ETS superscore feature for the TOEFL iBT. Instead of forcing you to rely on a single test date, ETS combines your best score in each section — Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing — across all the valid TOEFL dates you have within the last two years. Those four best section scores are added together to produce your MyBest total. This means a strong Reading score from one sitting and a strong Speaking score from another can both count toward the same superscore. Every official TOEFL score report automatically shows both your single-test scores and your MyBest Scores. Many universities accept MyBest, though you should always check each university requirement. At EEC we build your prep around this: if one section lags, we strategise a focused retake so your MyBest total climbs without redoing the whole test.

Question 10

How long is a TOEFL score valid?

Accepted Answer

A TOEFL iBT score is valid for two years from your test date. After that, ETS no longer reports the score and most universities will not accept it, so timing your test matters. If you plan to apply in a particular admission cycle, sit the test close enough to your application deadlines that the score stays current through the whole process, including any deferred intake. The two-year window is also why MyBest Scores only combines section scores from tests taken within those two years. At EEC we help you plan your test date around your target intake so your result is fresh when universities review your file. If your score is about to expire and you still need it, we can guide you on whether a retake or a fresh attempt is the smarter move.

Question 11

What sections does the TOEFL iBT include?

Accepted Answer

The TOEFL iBT has four sections, each scored on a 1–6 band scale. Reading asks you to read academic passages and answer comprehension questions. Listening uses lectures and campus-style conversations, then tests how well you followed them. Speaking has you respond aloud into a microphone to short tasks, some independent and some based on what you read or heard. Writing includes an integrated task — where you write from a reading plus a lecture — and the newer "Writing for an Academic Discussion" task, where you contribute to an online-style class discussion. The whole test is computer-based and takes about two hours. EEC coaching covers each section with ETS-aligned strategies, timed practice, and full-length mock tests so the real exam feels familiar. We pay special attention to Speaking and Writing, the two skills Indian students most often want structured help with.

Question 12

How much does EEC TOEFL coaching cost and what is included?

Accepted Answer

EEC TOEFL iBT coaching is ₹9,990, inclusive of 18% GST — one transparent fee with no hidden charges. For that you get daily live classes from 4 to 5 PM IST, Monday to Saturday, taught by ETS-aligned faculty. You also receive 386 hours of video lessons you can revisit any time, 10 printed books delivered free anywhere in India, and full-length mock tests that mirror the real computer-based exam. Coaching includes MyBest Scores strategy so you plan retakes intelligently, plus Hindi and Gujarati support so concepts are never lost in translation. The course is delivered online-live across India, with classroom delivery available at EEC physical branches in Gujarat. A free demo class runs daily between 9 AM and 9 PM, so you can experience the teaching before paying. EEC has been an ETS-authorised TOEFL iBT consultant since 2023.

Question 13

Is EEC officially recognised to coach TOEFL?

Accepted Answer

Yes. EEC is an ETS-authorised TOEFL iBT consultant, a status held since 2023. ETS is the organisation that creates and administers the TOEFL test worldwide, so this authorisation means our coaching is aligned with official TOEFL standards rather than generic English tuition. Our faculty are ETS-aligned and teach the exam the way ETS structures it — the real task types, the real scoring logic, and the real two-hour computer-based format. Beyond TOEFL specifically, EEC has been guiding students since 15 July 1997, with 26 branches across 12 Gujarat cities, more than 50,000 students taught, and a 4.7-star Google rating from over 13,937 reviews. That combination — official TOEFL authorisation plus decades of test-prep experience — is what lets us coach Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing with strategies tuned to how the exam actually scores you.

Question 14

When are TOEFL classes held and can I learn online?

Accepted Answer

EEC runs daily live TOEFL iBT classes from 4 to 5 PM IST, Monday to Saturday. The course is built around an online-live format, so you can join the same live sessions with real EEC teachers from anywhere in India — you are not restricted to a city with a branch. If you prefer in-person learning, classroom delivery is available at EEC physical branches across Gujarat. Both modes follow the same syllabus, the same ETS-aligned faculty approach, and the same ₹9,990 fee. Alongside the live class you get 386 hours of recorded video lessons, so if you miss a session or want to revise a topic, the material is always available on demand. A free demo class is offered every day between 9 AM and 9 PM, letting you test the timing and teaching style against your own schedule before you commit.

Question 15

How is TOEFL different from IELTS?

Accepted Answer

TOEFL iBT and IELTS are both accepted by thousands of universities, but they suit different students. TOEFL uses American English and is the preferred test for USA admissions, while IELTS uses British-style English and is common for the UK and some Commonwealth countries. TOEFL is fully computer-based — you even speak into a microphone for the Speaking section — whereas IELTS offers a face-to-face speaking interview. TOEFL scores each section on a 1–6 band scale for an overall band from 1.0 to 6.0, while IELTS reports 0–9 bands. A useful TOEFL advantage is MyBest Scores, which superscores your best section results across two years; IELTS does not work that way. Many universities accept either test, so the right choice often comes down to your target country and whether you are more comfortable typing or speaking to a person. EEC counsellors help you pick based on your specific university list.

Question 16

How is TOEFL different from PTE?

Accepted Answer

TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic are both computer-based English tests accepted by many universities, but they differ in format and emphasis. TOEFL is run by ETS, uses American English, and is the most preferred test for USA admissions; it scores each of its four sections on a 1–6 band scale for an overall band from 1.0 to 6.0. PTE is fully AI-scored and often returns results faster. TOEFL Speaking and Writing are evaluated against academic tasks — including the integrated tasks and the "Writing for an Academic Discussion" task — and TOEFL offers MyBest Scores, which combines your best section results across two years. Which test fits you depends on your destination universities and how each one weights the tests. EEC coaches TOEFL with ETS-aligned faculty and can advise, through a free demo and counselling, whether TOEFL or another test better matches your goals. We never push one test over another without checking your requirements.

Question 17

Which universities and countries accept the TOEFL iBT?

Accepted Answer

The TOEFL iBT is accepted by more than 13,000 universities and institutions worldwide. It has a particularly strong following in the USA, where it is the most widely preferred English test for admissions. Beyond the USA, TOEFL is accepted in Canada — including for the Student Direct Stream — as well as in Germany, the UK, Australia, and many other study destinations. Because acceptance and minimum scores vary by university and even by programme, you should always confirm the exact requirement on each university website before you apply. As a general benchmark, an overall band around 4.0 opens many universities, Band 4.5 to 5.0 suits more competitive programmes, and Band 5.0 or above is common for top-tier universities. EEC counsellors, drawing on experience across 42 study-abroad countries, help you match your target score to your shortlisted universities so you prepare for the right number rather than an arbitrary one.

Question 18

What score should I aim for on the TOEFL?

Accepted Answer

There is no universal target — the right TOEFL score depends entirely on the universities and programmes you are applying to. As a broad guide, an overall band of around 4.0 is accepted by many universities, bands between 4.5 and 5.0 are typical for more competitive programmes, and Band 5.0 or above is what top-tier universities frequently expect. Some programmes also set minimums for individual sections, so a strong total alone may not be enough if, say, your Speaking score falls below their cut-off. The smartest approach is to list your shortlisted universities, note each one stated requirement, and aim a few points above the highest one for a comfortable margin. At EEC, our faculty assess your current level in a free demo and then set a realistic, university-specific target, building your study plan and mock-test schedule around reaching it across all four sections.

Question 19

How long does it take to prepare for the TOEFL?

Accepted Answer

Preparation time depends on your current English level and your target score, but with structured daily coaching most students build solid TOEFL readiness over a few focused weeks rather than months. EEC classes run live for one hour a day, 4 to 5 PM IST, Monday to Saturday, and are backed by 386 hours of video lessons you can study at your own pace. That mix of daily live teaching plus on-demand revision lets you move quickly through Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing while still drilling the sections you find hardest. Full-length mock tests show you, in real exam conditions, when you are consistently hitting your target. If you are starting from a lower base, give yourself more lead time before your test date; if you are already comfortable in English, you may need only targeted practice on exam strategy and timing. A free demo helps us estimate your timeline.

Question 20

Do I get study materials and books with the course?

Accepted Answer

Yes. EEC TOEFL iBT coaching includes 10 printed books delivered free to your address anywhere in India — there is no extra shipping charge, and the books are yours to keep. On top of the printed material you get 386 hours of video lessons covering every section of the exam, which you can watch and rewatch as you revise. You also receive full-length mock tests that recreate the real computer-based TOEFL experience, so you practise pacing and stamina before test day. All of this is part of the single ₹9,990 fee, inclusive of GST, with no hidden costs. The materials are aligned with how ETS structures the exam, including the integrated tasks and the Writing for an Academic Discussion task, so you are practising the real question types rather than generic exercises. Hindi and Gujarati support means the explanations behind every strategy stay clear.

Question 21

Is there language support if my English background is weak?

Accepted Answer

Yes. EEC TOEFL coaching is taught in English but supported with Hindi and Gujarati explanations, so concepts and exam strategies are never lost in translation. This matters most for students who understand English reasonably well but want the reasoning behind each task — why a Reading answer is correct, how to structure a Speaking response, what scorers look for in the Writing tasks — explained in a language they think in. Our ETS-aligned faculty break down the four sections step by step and let you ask questions until each task type makes sense. The course also includes 386 hours of video lessons you can revisit at your own pace, which helps if you need to hear an explanation more than once. A free demo class, available daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, is the best way to check whether the teaching style and level of support fit you before you enrol.

Question 22

How do I book a free TOEFL demo class with EEC?

Accepted Answer

Booking a free TOEFL iBT demo with EEC is straightforward. Free demo classes run every day between 9 AM and 9 PM, so you can pick a slot that fits your schedule. Use the enquiry form on this page, or contact EEC directly, and our team will arrange a session with ETS-aligned faculty. In the demo you experience how a live class is taught, get a sense of your current level across Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing, and can ask about MyBest Scores strategy, the mock tests, and the printed materials included in the ₹9,990 course. The demo is genuinely free and carries no obligation to enrol. It is also the best way to decide between online-live classes — available across India — and classroom delivery at an EEC branch in Gujarat. Once you are confident the teaching suits you, you can join the next available batch.
