GMAT fees in India 2026 total ₹1.05 lakh to ₹1.35 lakh for a typical Indian aspirant including test (2 attempts), score reports, prep materials and coaching. The GMAT Focus Edition test fee alone in India is $324.50 (~₹27,100) for the test centre and $354 (~₹29,570) for the online edition — both equal the global base ($275 / $300) plus 18% GST processed at checkout. Additional charges apply for reschedules ($55–$165), score reports ($35 each), and the optional Enhanced Score Report ($30). EEC GMAT coaching ranges ₹15,000 (online) to ₹35,000 (1-on-1 intensive) for a full 240-hour programme.
GMAT Focus Test Fee in India
GMAT Focus Edition registration fee in India is $324.50 (~₹27,100) for the test centre and $354 (~₹29,570) for the online edition — these are the global base fees ($275 / $300) plus 18% GST processed at checkout. The fee is identical for first attempt and retake. Pay via credit card, debit card or PayPal at mba.com during registration. EEC GMAT students get registration support and slot-availability alerts for nearest Pearson centres in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi and Chandigarh.

Cancellation Fees
GMAT Focus Edition cancellation refunds (test centre): More than 60 days before test: $110 refund. 15–60 days before: $80 refund. Less than 14 days: $55 refund. Same-day: no refund. Cancellation is rarely worth it financially — most candidates either reschedule (cheaper) or take the test and cancel the score post-exam (free score cancellation within 72 hours of test).
Additional Score Reports
GMAT Focus Edition includes 5 free score reports sent to schools at test registration. Additional score reports cost $35 each (₹3,150). For Indian MBA applicants applying to 10 global schools, expect 5 additional reports = $175 (₹15,750). Some Indian programmes (ISB, IIM-A PGPX) require official score reports while others accept self-reported scores at application + official report only after admission offer.
Enhanced Score Report (ESR)
Enhanced Score Report (ESR) is an optional $30 (₹2,700) diagnostic report from GMAC that provides per-question difficulty + time spent + section subscores. It is highly recommended for retakers — ESR reveals exact weak areas (Algebra subtype, RC vs CR ratio, Quant pacing). EEC GMAT retakers who buy ESR typically score 30–50 points higher on retake by addressing the diagnosed gaps.
Pro Tip
Total GMAT Preparation Cost in INR
Average total GMAT cost for an Indian aspirant (test + 1 retake + prep): test fee 2× at $324.50 each = ~₹54,200, ESR after first test = ₹2,700, 5 additional score reports = ₹15,750, prep books (Official Guide, Manhattan, GMAC Focus Prep) = ₹6,000–₹8,000, 1 online mock subscription = ₹4,000–₹6,000, coaching ₹15,000–₹35,000 (EEC online ₹15,000, classroom ₹25,000, 1-on-1 ₹35,000). Grand total: ~₹1.05 lakh–₹1.35 lakh.
EEC GMAT Coaching Cost
EEC GMAT Focus Edition coaching pricing: Online live group (240-hour, 8 mocks): ₹15,000. Classroom group at 26 Gujarat centres (240-hour, 8 mocks): ₹25,000. 1-on-1 intensive online or classroom (60-hour custom + 8 mocks + admissions consulting): ₹35,000. All formats use the same band-verified trainers, include 8 full-length adaptive mocks, ESR analysis for past test-takers, and 90-day Telegram doubt-support.
GMAT Prep Books — Are They Worth It
EEC recommends the GMAC Official Guide Focus Edition 2026 (₹3,500), Official Verbal Review Focus (₹2,000) and Official Quant Review Focus (₹2,000) — these contain real retired GMAT questions and are mandatory for serious preparation. EEC coaching includes these books in the classroom fee. Manhattan Prep GMAT 5-book series (₹6,000) is good for foundation building but optional. Avoid Indian publishers that adapt content — official GMAC materials are the gold standard.
Fee Discounts and Scholarships
GMAC offers limited fee discounts: military / veterans, certain GMAC promotions during MBA fair seasons, and need-based fee waivers (rarely granted to international applicants). Some schools cover the GMAT fee retroactively as part of admission scholarship (ISB Pro VC merit). Bottom line: budget the full $324.50 (~₹27,100) for the India test centre or $354 (~₹29,570) for online — both include 18% GST. If retaking, GMAC sometimes offers a $50–$100 discount via email to existing test-takers. EEC GMAT students who score 645+ on a paid mock receive ₹2,000 cash-back on coaching tuition.
EMI Options for Working Professionals
EEC offers EMI-friendly GMAT packages for working professionals: 240-hour evening / weekend online live coaching at ₹15,000 paid as ₹5,000 × 3 months instalments. Includes test booking support, 8 mocks, ESR analysis, 90-day Telegram doubt-support, and MBA admissions consulting for ISB / IIM-A PGPX / global schools. Working professionals who complete EEC's 16-week structured plan average 685+ scores at first attempt, saving the cost of a second GMAT test.
Budget-conscious working professional aiming for ISB or global MBA? EEC offers GMAT online coaching at ₹15,000 with 3-month EMI option, plus free 90-minute diagnostic and ESR review. 26 centres or online.
